The Grand Master

Dr. Nicolas Laos (born in Athens, Greece, in 1974) is a philosopher, religious visionary, mathematician, noopolitics expert, Freemason (regularly installed Grand Hierophant–97ο of the Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis–Misraim), and the Founder and World Grand Master of the Scholarly and Political Order of the Ur-Illuminati (SPOUI).

Apart from being the Grand Master of the SPOUI, Dr. Nicolas Laos is the Facilitator of an international network of Lodges of the Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis–Misraim that operate as Masonic nurseries of the SPOUI. He is an internationally published author in the fields of philosophy (ontology, epistemology, mathematical logic, foundations of mathematics, ethics, philosophical psychology, philosophy of mind, philosophical theology) and politics (political theory, noopolitics, political economy, world affairs).

Dr. Nicolas Laos is the author of the book The Meaning of Being Illuminati (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2019; ISBN (10): 1-5275-3354-9 or ISBN (13): 978-1-5275-3354-7).

The study of the aforementioned book is an indispensable prerequisite to understanding the SPOUI and, in general, the research program of “Ur-Illuminism.”

I am proud to be the founder of the Ur-Illuminati because the Ur-Illuminati are knowledge-seekers and scholars who not only see with two eyes but also seek and depend on uncreated sources of knowledge. We are Two-Eyed Illuminati! By contrast, other Illuminati organizations and, in general, other esotericists and other scholars see with only one eye, and ignore uncreated sources of knowledge. The left eye symbolizes rational, scientific knowledge and, in general, knowledge that is derived from external created sources (outer sight), whereas the right eye symbolizes esoteric knowledge, specifically, knowledge that is derived from spiritual intuition (inner sight). Therefore, symbolically speaking, if one is blind in the left eye, then one can easily fall victim to superstitions, prejudices, illusions, and any kind of irrationality, and, if one is blind in the right eye, then one can easily fall victim to selfish passions, moral barbarism, and psychological chaos. Thus, continuing to speak symbolically, I maintain that the visual acuity of the left eye can be improved through intellectual development, whereas the visual acuity of the right eye can be improved through moral development and psychic cleansing. However, above and beyond both outer sight (created exoteric knowledge) and inner sight (created esoteric knowledge), there are uncreated sources of knowledge, covered by the term divine illumination (uncreated esoteric knowledge), which is reserved for those who are pure in heart (Matthew 5:8).”  – Dr. Nicolas Laos, Grand Master of the Scholarly and Political Order of the Ur-Illuminati (SPOUI).
